Andrew “Jonesy” Jones

It is with a profound sense of sadness as a community of people, that we all share in the grief of our Launceston chapter as we mourn the death of long standing member Andrew ‘Jonesy’ Jones. Andrew had also spent a short time part of the club in the United Kingdom during his fourteen years of membership.
His relationship with the club started many many years before his membership journey began with some in the club enjoying friendship spanning forty years with him.
He will be remembered with much love as a man of sincere faith in Christ that he held to and advocated for courageously throughout his life – and it was this same faith that sustained him, and those around him immensely as his health deteriorated in recent months.
We thank God for him, for his example and his devotion to serving others with humility and sincerity. Thank you to those who have sent and posted kind messages of support to our chapter community in Launceston, and we also know that Andrew himself was grateful for all the messages he received in recent weeks. Please do join us in prayer for comfort for his family and those closest to Andrew in these days.

There will be a wake at our Launceston Club House following the service.
